Over the past few months, ever since moving and upgrading to XB7 my home network has been repeatedly 'crashing' multiple times each day. The WiFi stays up but the internet connection is lost for about 8-10 minutes each time. Also during this window the TV box resets. I also have the gigabit plan (1200 down 35 up) and with my old XB7-T I was getting around 500-600mbps being in the same room as the router and now with the XB7-CM I’m getting between 700-800mbps in the same room and the range is improved as well. In other rooms in the house where I was getting around 350-400 I’m now getting 550-600mbps.I switched to Xfinity internet in October 2020, and got an XB7-T modem. When I initially set it up, I noticed my phone was getting WiFi 6, which was great. Eventually (I forget when exactly) I got curious and was exploring the xFi settings. I think I changed something in the radio settings, and I lost WiFi 6, it’s now WiFi 5 at best. The orange or red stripe port is actually a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port on the X7s and X8s. If the device is 1Gbps, it should be green -- well, if you've got a decent Ethernet cable. Cat6 at least. Cat 7/8 is better. Hardware does the speed negotiate.
