A few days ago trying to weld-up a snow blade for a 4-wheeler, It did fine for about 10 minutes, about 3-4 ins. of bead at a time, then quit putting anything out.It doesn't matter whether you measure amps or volts because it' the watts (power) that make heat. A 120V MIG welder turned all the way up will put out about 90A at 18V, around 1600W. A stick weld with a 3/32" 7018 or 1/8" 6010/6011 at 85A will be around 26V or 2200W, significantly more power.I will address a feed problem I have with my Lincoln 256 Power Mig welder.
